Several members of the local churches of Christ either own, operate or work in local businesses and we like to support them by patronizing their businesses as often as we can. In our present economy they can use all the help they can get. So if you live in the Branson area or are just visiting be sure and support your fellow brothers and sisters by using their products or services as often as you can.

They own and operate several stores in the Grand Village Shops located at 2800 West Hwy. 76. Mel's Hard Luck Diner is an unique experience in dining, not only do they have great food (their shakes are the best! and the banana split is to die for!) but the servers sing to you while you eat your meal! They are the authors of the "Branson Hiking Trails" book which describes 27 hiking trails in the Branson area. There are several trails that are located just off of Hwy. 76 where you can truly enjoy the beauty of the Ozarks hills. Tim Sings! Yes, I know he sings at our worship services but what I am talking about is that he sings for the Pierce Arrow Music Show! On most days, Monday - Saturday they have two shows, one at 3:00 pm and another one at 7:30 pm. The shows are completly different so be sure and see both of them. Pierce Arrow is celebrating their tenth year in Branson. Oh, by the way, did you know that according to the Guinness Book of World Records,Tim is the lowest bass singer in the world! He was voted Branson’s Bass Singer of the Year for three years in a row and is in the Branson Entertainers Hall of Fame.So what are you waiting for, go see him! Stanley Morris
Stanley has a unique gift and talent and though he does not have a business in the strict sense of the
word he does a great and wonderful work, he translates the Bible! The Simple English Bible, The Great Book, was originally published in 1980 to present the Bible in an easy to understand modern English. It was translated by Dr. Stanley Morris who is a Greek and Hebrew scholar. Currently he has the New Testament completed and can be purchased at the T. Charleston Book Store owned by Mel and Liz Bilbo in the Grand Village Shops and they are also available at the church building. Stanley and his wife Shiela have just completed the translation of the Old Testament and is in the process of being published. Hopefully it will be out by the end of the year.
